Welcome to Solomon Kasumba’s Portrait Commissioning Services. By placing a commission or using this website, you agree to the following terms:
1. Commission Process
- Orders are accepted via the website form, email, or direct communication.
- All commissions require a minimum deposit of 50% upfront.
- Final balance is due before delivery or upon completion of the artwork.
2. Pricing and Payment
- Prices vary based on size, number of subjects, and medium (charcoal, watercolour, oil or pastel).
- Payment methods accepted: bank transfer, PayPal, and major credit cards.
- All portrait fees are subject to a 9% VAT surcharge, which will be added to your final invoice.
3. Delivery & Shipping
- Delivery timelines are communicated during commission confirmation.
- Standard delivery within the Netherlands and international shipping are available.
- Shipping costs are quoted separately and depend on location and size of artwork.
4. Refunds and Cancellations
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of ordering are eligible for a full refund.
- After production begins, deposits are non-refundable due to the custom nature of the work.
- Completed commissions are non-refundable.
5. Intellectual Property and Artist Rights
- The artist retains all copyrights and reproduction rights unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Clients receive the original artwork for personal or institutional display but may not reproduce it commercially.
- Use for Marketing and Portfolio: With the client’s prior written consent, Solomon Kasumba may display images of completed portraits on websites, social media, promotional materials, and portfolio presentations. Consent will be requested at the time of ordering or delivery. If declined, the portrait will not be used for these purposes.
6. Liability
While every effort is made to package and ship artworks securely, liability for damage during shipping is limited and subject to insurance coverage.
